These are my preliminary concepts for my self-promotional postcards. The last few images will show cards missing large portions of content, but the layout will remain relatively similar. Important changes that I plan to make are making room for postcard printing requirements, and to relate the text more to my personal use of design instead of making generalized statements. As seen in my sketches, I am going to attempt to add one more element, which is an icon of a swiss army knife to represent how each one of these facets may be useful to an employer or client in a pinch.

My goal for these cards is to have a very cohesive layout and style that can be carried out throughout the series of cards and perhaps into other elements of my personal brand. The last thing I accomplished was to create social media icons. These may not end up in my final postcards, but they could be useful in other parts of the branding process.

Concepts/Thumbnails for Postcards

Concepts for a self-promotinal postcard series
I am going to attempt to express my different skill sets in creative design through a series of postcards. I have figured out some modular elements and themes I would like to use, but have yet to make a solid decision on my copy. I want to use the concept of a swiss army knife as a symbol of how I view my design abilities and style. I have currently narrowed my card down to complete greyscale, and am contemplating the addition of one color. I have also decided to use gotham as the typeface for the majority of the cards.

I hope to put a significant amount of time into this piece as I am going to use the elements I like as a part of my personal brand throughout my business-cards, websites, and more.
