Branding Concepts for Furniture Identity

I am beginning to implement some of my ideas for my furniture branding project. I went with the name "Slack Sharp". It suggests a carefree array of furniture, with the purpose in relaxing or socializing. The two blues I am incorporating are meant to bring out the calm atmosphere. The image should pair strong aesthetics with a lifestyle that isn't as dry as that portrayed by some designer shops. The pug mark is meant to be playful and suggest a light interpretation of the shop name.

The design is very consistant and perhaps classically-modern. This is an attempt to portray the high quality design consumers can expect from this store. I have attempted to include curvilinear elements, as I want to reflect some of the furniture styles depicted in my last post which will be available in the shop.

Final Postcard Synopsis

Posted above are the finalized designs for my postcards. I have made significant changes from the last versions posted on this blog. I changed much of the imagery, made some corrections to the copy, and included a set of the icons on each page in order to add more consistency. I think the cards now accomplish their goal of being a cohesive professional representation of my various skillsets. The covers are all fairly intriguing and interesting, and the back sides are aesthetically similar with concise text. My initial concept for these cards is clearly represented.

Post-Group Critique

It should be immediately clear that I have made some adjustments to the design since my last post in favor of postcard-practicality. These cards are now compliant with postcard specifications and are completely mailable. I have also written and refined the copy for many of the cards.

After completing the group critique I have a few more ideas. I want to include a module that makes the swiss army knife / icon elements more cohesive. I also have some content changes to make. The front cover of the "Design" card does not really represent the theme well. I intend to create a new background for that card. The illustration card doesn't seem to represent the theme very strongly either, so I think I will develop an illustration tailored to this card. I received a fairly positive response, so once these content issues are resolved I should be set for production.
